Sa Dulo ng Mundo

Nakaupo ako sa dulo ng huling pangungusap
Ng isang tula gaya ng inaasahang munting bantas
At sa wari ko’y nakaupo sa dulo ng mundo,
Sa bukana ng di-masasabing naghihintay.
Sa aking likuran, ang lahat ng dumaang salita,
Bigat na hindi ko makakayang buhatin kailanman
At nagmamahal. Nililingon ko sila sa abot
Ng buong pagkaunawa sa anumang pagkakasala
Na nakapaloob sa pagbuo ng anyo at nilalaman
Hindi upang igawad ang pangwakas ng husga
At hugasan ang aking kamay na nabahiran ng tinta.
Batid ko ang takda ayon sa ginaganapang papel
At doon ko ibig mahimlay bilang pagpupugay
Sa likhang pinagdaanan ang mundo.
